Peer Gynt is a story by Henrik Ibsen, following the protagonist as he leaves his home in Norway and embarks on a long journey across forests and seas, eventually reaching Egypt by way of North Africa. Along the way, he encounters adventures both fantastical and absurd, confronting his own desires, fears, and fate.
