Inkblot
AI-generated experimental film

Dec 2024
Inkblot is an experimental short film inspired by the Rorschach test, exploring how both inkblots and AI-generated visuals invite diverse, subjective interpretations. It reflects on the parallels between human perception and the unpredictable creativity of machines.

The visuals were generated in ComfyUI using symmetrical prompts that mimic the organic randomness of inkblots. Rhino Grasshopper and Processing were used to create procedural patterns and motion frameworks, while Blender handled animation, compositing, and visual refinement. The workflow combines real-time algorithmic generation with manual curation, ensuring each frame retains both the spontaneity of AI and the intentionality of human design.
